Nya PR-regler är gamla regler men bra regler

Ja, visst är det så; de nya PR-reglerna är inte så nya, utan ganska gamla, t o m uråldriga, och därför så bra. Två av de bloggare som jag respekterar mest, och som pådyvlat de nya reglernas förträfflighet, går från klarhet till klarhet, när de nu konstaterar att de nya reglerna faktiskt är uråldriga.

David Meerman Scott skriver:

Instead of making everything “new,” the Web has brought communications back full circle to where we were 60 years ago. On the Web you can finally communicate again in the way that people respond to. What people respond to, and the way they make purchase decisions, really hasn’t changed at all.

The Web is a huge town square and blogs are like people who venture into the town pub. People communicate and share ideas and products are sold.

I urge everyone to take the social-media plunge and think about new ways to strengthen constituency relations and measurement. Let’s not allow Madison Avenue to hijack Web 2.0 with subservient chickens. Social media is about self-expression and sharing information and opinions. Isn’t that the essence of PR?”
